As a founding Teamkal member with over 17 years experience installing Kalzip roofing, F Brown plc were selected to undertake the roofing element of a new store for northwest based, family owned supermarket chain Booths.
Innovative, stylish and individual design concepts reflect the store’s prestigious locations. At Lytham, a Kalzip 65/400 stucco embossed roof sheet was specified on a Kalzip build-up to give an L2 compliant U-value of 0.25w/m2k.
The eaves, verge and ridge were formed using bespoke 2mm polyester powder coated aluminium bullnose flashing, soffits were in 2mm polyester powder coated Kalplank, with 150mm square rainwater pipes to compliment and complete the installation.
To facilitate car parking space for the store, the Lytham Arts Society Centre had to be re-located to a new building. Designed to compliment the adjacent store, F. Brown were contracted to install the roofing on this.
Following on the success of this project, F. Brown have now commenced work on roofing and cladding a new storage extension at Booth’s Penwortham store. The Kingspan Longspan specified for the walls alleviates the need for sheeting rails as this is fixed directly to the steel frame structure.
