Having worked on the previous two phases of work on this site over the last eight years, F. Brown plc were sub contracted by Vinci plc to install roofing and cladding on a Low Secure Unit at Guild Park in Preston. The contract was within the Integrated Health Projects scheme; a joint venture between Sir Robert McAlpine and Vinci Construction UK which provides nationwide healthcare expertise.
As a TeamKal contractor approved by Kalzip Ltd to supply and fix this prestigious standing seam roofing system, over 3200m2 of straight and tapered sheets were installed to form the curvature of the roof. Additionally, F. Brown plc used Kingspan KS1000MR micro rib wall panels to clad the walls of the unit.
The project was completed ahead of schedule and to budget, with the first occupants taking up residence at the end of March 2010.
Following on from this work, F. Brown plc have again been sub contracted by Vinci plc to install matching roofing and cladding products to an office accomodation block on the site.
